Privacy notice
For smilingconscioustraveller.com and its pages: booked, demo, techrescue, architect and creations.
Who is responsible
Otmar Braunecker, otmar@smilingconscioustraveller.com
When you write to me
When you send a contact form, I receive your name, your email address and what you write. I use them only to reply to you and to talk about working together (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: steps you ask for before a possible contract). I keep your message as long as we are in contact about it. Ask me and I delete it.
When you try the demo
On demo.smilingconscioustraveller.com you can leave your first name, WhatsApp number and email to see the sample messages. With your tick in the consent box (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), the demo sends you a WhatsApp message through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, a follow-up a few minutes later, and a notification email reaches me. The demo deletes your details after 7 days.
Analytics, only with your yes
I use Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use these pages. It sets its cookies (_ga, _ga_…, kept up to two years) only after you click Accept in the cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without your yes, no analytics cookie is set; Google still receives a cookieless signal that a page was viewed, without anything that recognises you on a later visit.
Your choice itself is stored in one small cookie, sct_consent, for one year, so the banner does not ask again on every page. I do not use analytics for advertising.
You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings
Who else is involved
- Netlify, Inc. (USA) hosts these pages and stores what you send through the forms. Like every web host, its servers see your IP address when you open a page.
- Google: the typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google. Google Analytics as described above. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), only when you try the demo.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can object to its use, and withdraw a consent at any time. Write to otmar@smilingconscioustraveller.com.
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live; in Austria that is the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at).
